The fundraiser was standing room only.
Many people have been asking where they might send a donation to help cover the expense of Cecily's Medical bills, and as per Cecily's request, any leftover contributions will go to the college fund of Cecily and Jim's 21/2 year-old daughter Maddie, who has been diagnosed as being on the high functioning end of the autism spectrum. Doctors feel that with intense interventional therapy over the next several years, Maddie will be fine. Fortunately, Cecily had already put this therapy into effect before she left us. And it has been a Godsend that Maddie will continue to have a good deal of her therapy paid for by the State of California until she turns 3. All that Cec ever wanted is for Maddie to grow up to be like any other child. It is our goal to see that Cecily's dream is fulfilled.
Contributions can be made out to "Cecily Adams Fund"; no amount is considered too small. Funds will also be used for special day care in order to help Maddie learn to interact with other children, and for nannies. It seems to take many, just to attempt to replace the absence of a Mother.
